The Center for Fiction gives out four awards annually. We honor early-career fiction writers through our First Novel Prize and Emerging Writer Fellowship, and distinguished editors and agents in the field with our Medal for Editorial Excellence. Our On Screen Award pays tribute to groundbreaking creations in film and television informed by great fiction. The Center also works with partners in Italy to present the Bridge Book Award for translations into Italian and English of contemporary works of fiction and nonfiction.
