Learn revision techniques from professional college essay writing instructor Kelly Jean Fitzsimmons. Practice crafting story starters that hook readers and finding your endnote, plus receive tips for tackling those tricky supplemental essays.

This interactive workshop, held in person at The Center for Fiction, is a mixture of group exercises and tailored feedback. Bring a rough draft or an essay you want to polish. Get help strengthening the storytelling to prepare for submission.

Kelly Jean Fitzsimmons

Kelly Jean Fitzsimmons is a writer, educator, and storyteller. Her recent work has appeared in HILOBROW, Marie Claire, Hippocampus magazine, and numerous anthologies. She is the creator and producer of No, YOU Tell It!, a nonfiction series that brings storytellers together to trade tales, speak each other’s words, and empower voices on the page and stage.
