Monthly contributions to The Center for Fiction provide sustained, reliable support that helps us build a vibrant home for a diverse community of readers and writers to develop and share their love of storytelling.

Your monthly support nurtures early-career writers with grants, workshops, a place to write, public readings, a literary community, and other services and awards through our Emerging Writer Fellowships and First Novel Prize; fosters creative expression for over 2,500 New York City public school children annually with author-led events, writing workshops, reading groups, creative writing contests, and their own books to keep through our KidsRead / KidsWrite Program; invigorates our award-winning 200-year-old library with new acquisitions; and brings hundreds of authors and artists to engage with audiences annually on timely cross-cultural issues through our Public Literary Events and Performances, which celebrate fiction in all its forms.
