Latinx fiction often delves into history and politics, and crime fiction has always dealt with power and the status quo. In this reading group we will focus on that intersection, looking at a small selection of crime fiction novels (in English) by Latinx authors to discuss how their works explore issues of class, color, gender, identity, and more.
- Session I: Bodega Dreams by Ernesto Quiñonez
- Session II: A Crack in the Wall by Claudia Piñeiro
- Session III: Four Hands by Paco Ignacio Taibo II
- Session IV: Bloody Waters by Carolina Garcia-Aguilera
