Who is walking away from Omelas, a fictional country invented by Ursula K. LeGuin, and why, has become the subject for an array of conversations crossing literature, history, philosophy, political science, and pop culture genres that include video games, Star Trek, and K-pop. We will dive into this short, but rich and contemplative story to discuss its influence, interpretations, and how it still holds such a critical space in our contemporary cultural moment.
