If you have not read Cormac McCarthy, The Road is an excellent entry point, as well as a harrowing parable to read again and again. The Road is the story of a journey, imagining a future with no hope. However, it also raises the questions readers want to think about on their own journey through time and space.
What to read in advance of the first meeting: Please read the first 70 pages of The Road by Cormac McCarthy
What to expect from this reading group: Sessions will include guided reading and discussion. A guest scholar and member of the Cormac McCarthy Society will speak at one of the sessions via Zoom.
