The Center for Fiction*

Escape the heat outside and join us at The Center for Fiction* for a day of (air-conditioned) steamy romance! Grab a delicious iced drink from the Café & Bar and settle in for a marathon of Season 2, episodes 1-6 of Bridgerton, Netflix’s Regency-era romance series of wealth, lust, and betrayal. The viewing marathon will last from 12-6pm.

Then at 6pm we’ll welcome bestselling authors Sarah Maclean (Nine Rules to Break When Romancing a Rake) and Adriana Herrera (A Caribbean Heiress in Paris) to the stage for a discussion of the third act breakup of the romance genre, followed by an audience Q&A. After the conversation, you’re invited to stay and have another drink in the Café & Bar, check out the newly curated romance section of the Bookstore, and trade your Bridgerton hot takes with fellow viewers!

Bridgerton aficionados, romance readers, and total newbies to the show and genre welcome!

    Adriana Herrera

USA Today bestselling author Adriana was born and raised in the Caribbean, but for the last fifteen years has let her job (and her spouse) take her all over the world. She loves writing stories about people who look and sound like her people, getting unapologetic happy endings. When she’s not dreaming up love stories, planning logistically complex vacations with her family or hunting for discount Broadway tickets, she’s a trauma therapist in New York City, working with survivors of domestic and sexual violence.
