The Center for Fiction*
Capacity is limited. Please note that if your desired group is not listed, it is sold out. Please email Celeste Kaufman at firstname.lastname@example.org to join the waitlist.
Straight singles can join us on June 16th!
If your dream meet-cute is reaching for the same book on the shelves of a bookstore that happens to have flattering natural light and a convenient café that serves coffee and cocktails to chat over with your new love interest, join us for Booking for Love! Our signature literary speed dating event is back by popular demand, and to kick off Pride Month we’re hosting a special edition just for the LGBTQIA community. You’ll meet several bookish babes throughout the night, and if both people are interested in continuing the conversation you’ll each receive information about how to get back in touch. Bring a book you can’t wait to talk about, enjoy happy hour specials from our Café & Bar, and arrive ready for romance.
Doors open at 6pm ET. Early arrival is encouraged!
We welcome all gender identities and sexual orientations at this event. Participants are invited to register for the group that best aligns with their identity and whom they are seeking.
*Proof of vaccination is required to attend this in-person event. Mask wearing is also required throughout the building. Accepted vaccination proofs include:
- CDC vaccination card (or an image of it)
- Excelsior Pass or Excelsior Pass Plus (or a printout of it)
- A record of vaccination from the healthcare provider who administered your vaccine
Anyone 5 and older is required to show proof of two vaccine doses or one dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. Anyone 18 and older must also present a government issued photo ID.
If you remain unvaccinated because of a disability or sincerely held religious belief, please contact us at email@example.com for assistance or to request a reasonable accommodation.
