This program is part of Inside and Out Pride 2020 literary series, which offers solace and affirmation to the LGBTQ community during a time of isolation from trusted social groups and support networks.

The Center for Fiction is honored to host a reading with the 2020 “Lammy” winners in Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, and Gay fiction.

Since 1989, Lambda Literary has nurtured and advocated for LGBTQ writers, elevating the impact of their words to create community, preserve their legacies, and affirm the value of LGBTQ stories and lives. On June 1, the organization announced the winners of its 2020 Lammys, continuing its annual recognition of the best LGBTQ books published in a given year across dozens of categories.

“My people–my diaspora–are the LGBT people.” —Masha Gessen, 2019 Recipient of Lambda Literary Visionary Award
