The Center for Fiction provides quiet space for writers to work in Downtown Brooklyn. We accept writers of all genres and people at all different stages of their career. All writers are welcome at the Studio.

Our writing studio is located in a beautiful, sky-lit space on our second floor right in the heart of the BAM cultural district. It provides the perfect setting conducive to the craft of writing and is conveniently located near the Atlantic Barclays transportation hub.

No commitment is required and you only have to give 30 days notice to end your membership.

The Writers' Studio opens on February 15, 2019! Applications are now being accepted. We look forward to welcoming you.

You're welcome to come take a look at the space during open hours, just check in at the bookstore front desk first. Contact our Writing Programs Manager, Thierry Kehou, at if you have any questions.
