The Big Read: Seven Samurai
Friday October 11, 2013
Join us for this movie screening of Akira Kurosawa's classic film Seven Samurai, about a poor village under attack by bandits that looks for help from a group of unemployed samurai. This screening is part of our Big Read of Into the Beautiful North by Luis Alberto Urrea. The novel takes direct inspiration from the film as its main character, Nayeli, travels to find her own warriors to protect her small village in Mexico.
