KidsRead: The Tell-Tale Start by Gordon McApline
Monday October 20, 2014
For this KidsRead event, we welcomed Gordon McAlpine and 88 4th grade students from P.S. 333 Manhattan School for Children.
About The Tell-Tale Start (Puffin)
Edgar and Allan Poe are identical, inside and out, and their fiendish pranks are legendary. But someone got rid of their parents. . . and that same someone is out to get them.
Are the Poe twins quick and clever enough to outwit the shadowy organization known as the P.O.E.S.? And is that their famous ancestor, Edgar Allan Poe, trying to help them from the Great Beyond?
This is the Tell-Tale start of a great misadventure!
Gordon McAlpine is the author of adult novels ranging from magical realism to hard-boiled literary mystery. "The Misadventures of Edgar and Allan Poe" trilogy is his first work for younger readers. He likes to read, play basketball, and explore new places. Most of the time he can be found in southern California, where he lives with his wife Julie and their three dogs, Carmello, Diego, and Finnegan.
