As part of the Center's Crime Fiction Academy, acclaimed author, Linda Fairstein, will offer practical writing tips to budding authors while also giving insight to readers about her work.
Linda Fairstein, best-selling crime novelist, is one of America’s foremost legal experts on crimes of violence against women and children. She served in the office of the New York County District Attorney, where she was Chief of the Sex Crimes Prosecution Unit. She has received numerous awards for her legal work, including the Federal Bar Council’s Emory Buckner Award and UJA Federation’s Judge Joseph Proskauer Award. Linda is the author of an internationally bestselling series of crime novels, including The Deadhouse which received The Nero Award for literary excellence in the crime genre. Linda continues to practice law as a pro bono representative of victims of violence.
