Noreen Tomassi
Executive Director

Noreen Tomassi became Director in 2004. She came to the Center from Arts International, where she was president. Prior to that she directed the Lit program at the NJSCA and she began her career in Play Development at McCarter Theatre in Princeton.  Her books are  Money for International Exchange in the Arts and American Visions/Visiones de las Americas and she was a contributor to America's Membership Libraries. She earned her BA at Skidmore College.

Brenda Wegener
Head Librarian

Brenda Wegener has been a librarian in literature and art for the past twenty years. She has a Master's Degree in Library Science from USC and a Bachelor's Degree in Literature from the University of California, San Diego. She is an avid reader of literary fiction and a movie lover. She has two daughters in college.

estherEsther McGowan
Development Director

Esther McGowan joined the staff as full time Development Director in January 2010. Prior to that, she served as development consultant to the Center, providing grant writing and benefit planning services beginning in 2007. During her time as a freelance development consultant, her other clients included Robert Wilson's Watermill Center, the Bronx Museum of the Arts, Downtown Arts Projects, Scenic and Alexander Gray Associates. Prior to becoming freelance, she held full time Development Director positions at Alliance for the Arts, Arts International and Karin Bacon Events. Earlier in her career, she worked for the Art Matters Foundation, Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts, and the Whitney Museum of American Art. She received her B.A. from New York University.





Kristin Henley
Programs Director

Kristin Henley received her MFA in poetry from Columbia University in 2007. She has worked in the publishing and non-profit industries for several years, and has volunteered as poetry editor for two nationally distributed literary magazines. Her own writing has been published in several small journals. She is a native of California.

A Florida native, Jordan Scott has worked for a variety of clients doing freelance work in areas of web development, design, and photography. He is also the managing editor of the online and print magazine, Moonshot.
